About me
I’m a trainee counsellor with a multicultural background and a deep appreciation for the diverse experiences that shape who we are. Counselling, for me, is a natural continuation of a life shaped by curiosity, creativity, and compassion. It’s not just what I do — it’s who I am becoming.
I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Student Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I’m currently working toward the completion of the BACP accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling course while gaining clinical experience through my placement.

My Background
I was born and raised in Poland during the final years of communism, in a small countryside town where my parents, both professionals, lived and worked within a close-knit farming community. I have farming roots, which have quietly shaped my perspective on identity, resilience, and belonging.
My early childhood coincided with a shifting world — I was part of the first generation in my region to learn English as a second language at school, a sign that new doors were beginning to open. I later attended one of the first private secondary schools in our area, while also helping my parents run their small family business — an experience that laid the groundwork for my entrepreneurial spirit.
In the early 2000s, I felt the pull to explore beyond the familiar, and moved to the UK. I lived in London for over a decade, where I worked and build connections in domestic services. I studied design and completed a BA in Furniture and Product Design at London Metropolitan University, with my work exhibited in both London and Milan. Living in Essex and after becoming a mother, I set up a domestic services business, balancing entrepreneurship with the demands and joys of raising my child. We’ve since settled in Cambridge — a place that has become home.
Over time, and through many life transitions, I felt a growing pull toward something deeper — a calling to work with people in a more meaningful, personal way. In 2017, I returned to study and earned a degree in Psychology, followed by an MSc in Psychology from Anglia Ruskin University. I’m now continuing my journey in the field as a trainee counsellor at the Life-Force School of Counselling in Colchester, while gaining clinical experience through placement.
My Training
I’m currently studying for a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling at the Life-Force School of Counselling in Colchester. The course is grounded in a humanistic and client-led approach, while encouraging us to explore and integrate a wide range of therapeutic perspectives. Rather than aligning with one particular theory or school of thought, the emphasis is on developing a deeply personal and evolving style of counselling — one that’s informed by academic study, clinical experience, and self-reflection.
Throughout the training, we are invited to critically explore the assumptions behind different models, including humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, cognitive, and behavioural approaches. The aim is not theoretical eclecticism, but the creation of a coherent and integrated framework that feels authentic and grounded in our own lived experience.
There is a strong focus on deepening self-awareness and understanding the relational dynamics at the heart of therapeutic work. The course environment fosters openness, emotional honesty, and a thoughtful space for integration — drawing on the combined experience of tutors, peers, and personal development.
This process is very much a work in progress, and I see my approach to counselling as something living — something that grows with each client I meet, each theory I encounter, and each insight I gain through clinical practice. As I move through my placement and studies, I continue to shape a way of working that is integrative, relational, and rooted in the values that brought me here in the first place.
